Hello and Welcome everyone, my name is Isaac Mizrahi and this is the story of my “2wheeldream”.
Since I was a little child I used to go out on my bicycle every day. In recent years I had completed different self supported bike trips to different places like Iceland, El Camino a Santiago de Compostela Spain, BENELUX (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg) Ireland, Mexico and the United States.
This project was born almost 2 years ago during one of my journeys. I was in the highway riding on my bike in solitude thinking about the opportunity to ride across the world. In that moment I didn’t think about the date but the plan got stocked in my head. Every day I reviewed in my mind the possibilities, challenges, routes etc. In 2009 when I suffered a health problem and had to spend time in a hospital, I thought how short life is and how it was time to start this dream.
The journey will start on July 2011 in Alaska, USA heading south, all the way through Canada, Mexico, Central America till I reach Ushuaia, Chile. From Chile I will fly to Australia where I’ll cross the continent northbound on bike, then fly to India, crossing Nepal, China, Moscow, St Petersburg, Europe, England, Ireland and Iceland then fly back to USA and cross it from east to west.
Along with the personal challenge implied on this huge endeavor I want to do this as part of my wish to raise fund to support social causes.
